Dr. Kimberly Kester Friedman is from Columbus, NJ and attended Northern Burlington High School, Ursinus College and Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She was the salutatorian of her doctoral graduation class and has obtained additional training in pediatric eye care.
Dr. Friedman makes regular appearances on multiple local television stations and has authored numerous magazine and newspaper articles on eye care topics. She is often seen on Fox's Good Day! and Cn8's Your Morning with a recurring segment on eye topics. She has also appeared on NBC 10! and Comcast newsmakers. She is often published in print media including the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Courier Post, the Newark Star Ledger, the Asbury Park Press, several local weekly papers, and the Burlington County Times. Dr. Friedman received the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians' President's Award for serving as the first female president in the society's 100 plus year history. She was recognized as one of the nations "top 40 under 40" professionals in the eye care field as selected by Vision Monday Magazine, and received the "People's First Award" for the northeastern region of the United States, awarded to a doctor who demonstrates excellence in eye care and community service. In addition, Dr. Friedman has previously received the New Jersey OD of the Year award, the Young OD of the Year award, the Special Purpose Award, and the Chairperson of the Year Award for the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. She is currently the chairperson for major continuing education events for optometric physicians and serves on multiple committees at both the local and state level. Dr. Friedman has also completed extensive training in pediatric optometry and vision therapy and received the Skeffington Award for vision therapy excellence. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Moorestown Lions Club, currently serves as the president of the DeMasi Middle School PTA in Marlton, and lectures throughout the community on vision related topics. She also serves on th advisory board to the magazine "Women in Optometry". When not in then office, Dr. Friedman also works as a part time instructor for anatomy and physiology and is a certified yoga and pilates teacher. Les Friedman, OD
Dr. Les Friedman was raised in Hamden, Connecticut and Reading, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he attained an 2 B.S. degrees and his Doctorate in Optometry. He then completed post-graduate requirements to receive his license to therapeutically treat eye diseases and prescribe oral medications. Dr. Les Friedman is a current member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, the West Jersey Optometric Society, and the Barons Ice Hockey Team in Medford, NJ. He also participates on the Marlton Recreation Council where he coaches lacrosse and field hockey for his daughter's teams. In his spare time, he is likely to be training for a local triathlon!
Sally Halim, OD
Dr. Sally Halim joined Moorestown Eye Associates in 2003. Dr. Halim grew up in Woodstown, NJ, a small community in Salem County . After high school, Dr. Halim attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a Minor in English. She then went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry and a second bachelor's degree in Ocular Science from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, PA. While in graduate school, Dr. Halim earned clinical honors throughout her rotations. Dr. Halim's main interest lies in ocular disease. She comes to us after a rotation at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida . This hospital is one of the leading institutions in developing advancements and treatments for conditions such as glaucoma, ocular oncology, refractive surgery, macular degeneration, neuro-ophthalmology, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Halim incorporates the high resolution digital photography and ultrasound equipment available at Moorestown Eye in helping to manage complicated glaucoma cases and retinal disorders.
