Since first opening our doors for business, Moorestown Eye was designed to feel like “home“. In fact, all the colors, carpets and fixtures were selected to mirror what is found in the Drs. Les and Kim Friedman’s home. We know that you want to feel comfortable not only with the medical services of our office but also with the office ambiance too (and so do we)!
Arguably, one of the most fun parts of eye care is the fashion aspect. We want you to select your eyewear in a welcoming environment with high ceilings, natural light, and the feel of sitting with your best friends, not pushy salespeople in a sterile environment. It not unusual to hear a lot of laughter coming from our optical. We promise– we will not tell you something looks good if it doesn’t. We want you to be happy with your glasses and sunglasses from Moorestown eye and we will use our expertise and our honest opinions to help you feel fabulous!
While our decor and design in our optical is warm and homey, our exam rooms are more clinical looking in nature, with the latest in electronic refracting systems and technology. In fact, we upgrade our equipment yearly to ensure we are working with the most recent state of the art technology for state of the art care.
Our optical features over 1000 frames in all sizes shapes colors and price points. Our optical staff will work with you in order to find the best combination of fashion and appropriateness for your personal prescription. Want an honest opinion? Just ask they’ll give it to you.
At Moorestown Eye, we believe strongly in giving back to the community! From holding special events and fundraisers in the office to working with service organizations, it’s not unusual to find one of our doctors or staff members volunteering their time in the community.
Drs. Kimberly Friedman and David Kong have worked together for over ten years for the New Jersey Special Olympics Opening Eyes Program. As a matter of fact, that’s how they met. Each summer they volunteer their time to examine over 300 Special Olympics athletes and provide glasses and sports goggles at no charge. See what the program is all about at https://www.sonj.org/more-than-sports/health/healthy-athletes/opening-eyes/.
Drs. Les and Kimberly Friedman feel strongly about supporting causes that help animals in need. They have adopted many special needs dogs over the last 25 years and they have partnered with One Love Animal Rescue, based in Mount Laurel New Jersey, to host multiple fundraising events at our office. Whether it’s sunglasses sales or a makeover night with cosmetic tinted contact lenses and make-up artists or a trunk show displaying our latest designer frames, we try to keep coming up with fresh ideas to support one love. Digna from our optical department is on the Board of Directors for the LeRoy W Homer, Jr. Foundation. LeRoy was the first officer on United flight #93 that crashed in Shanksville Pennsylvania on September 11th. The foundation serves to provide scholarships for aspiring young pilots. Our Moorestown Eye team strives to continually support the foundation with their fundraising efforts. You can learn more about the inspiring work that they do here https://leroywhomerjr.org/
In addition, Moorestown Eye works with the local Lions Club’s and site for students programs to provide glasses for low-income members of our community.
